Frequently Asked Questions
How does DocReader convert my images?
DocReader compiles your selected photos or camera captures directly on your phone into a high-quality PDF. All operations happen offline and local to your device, ensuring maximum speed and complete data privacy.
Are my personal documents uploaded to a cloud server?
No. DocReader processes all conversions entirely offline and locally on your device. Your photos and generated PDFs are never uploaded to any remote servers or third-party storage.
Is there a limit to the number of pages I can add to a single PDF?
DocReader does not enforce a strict page limit. However, the performance and maximum page capacity depend on your mobile device's available memory (RAM) and storage space.
Can I capture new photos directly within the app?
Yes, DocReader includes a built-in camera feature that allows you to snap photos of physical documents, receipts, or notes and immediately add them to your PDF conversion queue.
Does DocReader require an active internet connection?
No. Because all conversion processes are handled directly on your device, you do not need Wi-Fi or cellular data to create or view your PDFs.
Where are my generated PDF files saved?
DocReader saves the generated PDF files locally on your device's internal storage. You can access, share, or open them using your device's built-in file manager or other PDF-compatible applications.
Troubleshooting
The app is unable to access the camera
Please open your device's Settings, find DocReader in the app list, and verify that the Camera permission is enabled.
Cannot select photos from my gallery
Go to your device's system settings under Privacy > Photos, select DocReader, and ensure access is set to 'All Photos' or 'Selected Photos'.
The PDF conversion fails or the app crashes during processing
This may occur when processing a large number of very high-resolution images. Try selecting fewer images at once, or close other background applications to free up device memory.
Unable to find the saved PDF documents on my device
Check your device's default 'Files' app or internal storage folders. You can also use the sharing function in DocReader to save files directly to a specific folder or cloud drive.
The app runs slowly during PDF generation
Local processing is hardware-dependent. If your device is running low on resources, try restarting your device or closing active background apps to speed up the conversion process.
